FBI Deputy Director Dan Bongino is at the center of a growing storm within the Trump administration, reportedly considering resignation after a heated clash with Attorney General Pam Bondi over the handling of the Jeffrey Epstein files. Bongino, a a right-wing commentator and now deputy director, has not been seen at FBI headquarters since Wednesday’s blow-up meeting at the White House. Sources say his absence is fueling uncertainty at the Bureau. The immediate cause appears to be Bongino’s frustration with the Justice Department’s decision to close the Epstein case, ruling his death a suicide and releasing a memo stating there was no “client list” implicating powerful figures, an outcome that has angered parts of the MAGA base and, apparently, Bongino himself.
